  1. One to one split systems - one outdoor condensing unit connected to one indoor unit
  2. Multi Split system - one outdoor condensing unit connected to many indoors units (up to 9)
  3. VRV split systems - one outdoor condensing unit connected to many indoor units (up to 128)

The indoor units come in different types:
